Climate Communication Manager

Brookwoods Group is working with a Chemical Manufacturing Company to identify a Climate Communications Manager. This is a contract position that could turn into a direct hire role.  You will lead the development and implementation of a climate communications and engagement strategy.  You would work closely with sustainability, net zero transition and government relations team to position our client as a leader in taking climate action.

If you are passionate about Net Zero and Climate initiatives, you will be a great fit.  You should have experience in writing about climate topics and working closely to build a communication strategy.  If you enjoy taking complex ideas around sustainability into compelling narratives and relatable content this client needs you right now.  If you have worked in a large complex organization and understand how climate topics impact not just the US, but globally you will fit right into this job.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

1. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related field
2. 10+ years of demonstrable experience in a sustainability and / or climate communications-related field, in a corporate communication role or corporate communication agency
3. Be prepared to share samples of your designed communications about climate from a corporate perspective, be a natural storyteller with excellent writing skills
4. Must have effective communication skills across multiple formats and platforms (e.g., written, verbal/presentation, digital-ready content and internal/executive communications
5. Must have 3+ years of change management
6. Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and project management (Monday.com, Co-Schedule)
