Director, Subscription & Membership Marketing

Brookwoods Group has partnered with a leading, 50 year-old multi-channel media, data and events network for the global energy industry to identify a Director, Subscription & Membership Marketing

This client has transformed its corporate strategy to rebound in a growth phase and seeks a talented team member to drive growth strategies to reach the next level of corporate excellence.

The Director, Subscriptions & Membership Marketing is responsible for the strategic direction, marketing plan development, and marketing execution oversight for three strategic business lines:  Client media subscriptions, data mapping services, and the client online store. This individual has proven experience with leading multi-channel campaign initiatives to drive awareness, demand generation, and sales conversions through marketing automation and email (Marketo preferred), social media, digital advertising, CRM systems (Hubspot preferred), web and UI improvements, and other lead-gen and conversion technologies and techniques. Media or data, subscription-based services, and/or ecommerce experience is a plus.

The Director, Subscriptions & Membership Marketing requires a strategic thinker, nimble problem solver, and a person that possesses a well-rounded digital marketing skillset. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and works with the internal Digital, Sales, and Marketing Execution teams.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

  1. Must have a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or relevant centration or relevant experience
  2. Must have 10+ years marketing experience with 5 years of previous digital subscription experience
  3. Must have 3+ years hands on B2B and B2C experience in inbound and demand generation (lead generation and nurturing campaign execution and measurement)
  4. Must have experience with multi-channel marketing including but not limited to: email marketing, website marketing, SEM, PPC, SEO, retargeting and social marketing
  5. Must have a strong understanding of online customer journey and user experience to improve conversion performance
  6. Must have data analysis skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to develop creative solutions and business decisions
  7. Must have knowledge of advertising performance metrics and measurement platforms
  8. Must have strong communication skills
  9. Must have experience with list building and purging, database management and segmentation campaigns
  10. Must have intermediate to advanced spreadsheet capabilities including functions, pivot tables and lookups
  11. Must have strong collaboration skills; able to develop and maintain effective relationships with peers, vendors and internal stakeholders
  12. Must have experience with UI and UX optimization for conversion

Preferred but not required:

  • Advanced degree
  • Marketo Certified
  • Hubspot certification
  • Google Ads and Analytics certification
  • Basic HTML and CSS skills a plus

Details:

  • This is a full-time position as our client's employee
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer assistance
  • The role is initially in office first 90 days; then hybrid 3 days in office for US candidates only
  • Background checking and reference checking are required prior to employment. Drug screening may be required prior and/or during employment
