Email Marketing Specialist

Brookwoods Group is working with a Leader in Energy-focused News and Content to provide an Email Marketing Specialist seated in Houston, TX (potential of sitting in Texas but travelling to Houston 2x a week for first 90 days and then periodically after first 90 days).

The Email Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and will support multiple groups within the company on both internal and external marketing and fulfillment efforts pertaining to everything email. They are responsible to support email marketing and automation efforts for the company, supporting the Director of Digital Marketing in handling everything from project initiation through planning and execution and will be required to execute all aspects of email marketing campaigns - building, deploying and reporting. They also maintain communication with internal Fulfillment and Digital departments to support Email marketing, automation and lead nurturing execution.

To be successful in the role, the candidate will remain abreast of technological developments that facilitate the dissemination and monitoring of campaign features. This individual has proven hands-on experience in executing email campaigns, with specific focus on building audiences, managing company's marketing database, building and deploying emails, defining and building customer journey in drip campaigns, and regularly report performance.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or similar field
2. 2-3 years of experience in email marketing
3. 1-2 years of recent experience with Marketo (preferred), Hubspot or any other Marketing Automation tool.
4. Proficiency in HTML, CSS and Excel with some working knowledge of SQL
5. 2+ years analyzing email marketing campaign results

Preferred but not required:

• Energy industry experience
• Marketing agency or media services experience
• Graphic Design
