U.S. General Manager

Brookwoods Group is working with a top-tier Construction Retail Franchise firm to place a U.S. General Manager. We’re seeking a U.S. General Manager with an expertise in strategic planning, people leadership, attention to detail and business development skills to join our client’s corporate team. You will work with a small group of dynamic individuals who are principals within the company.  Our client is one of three residential construction franchise firms in the U.S.; this role will offer you the opportunity to collaborate with and lead the development and growth of the business within the Lower 48 market.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supporting the growth of the business in the United States
  • Providing strong leadership and direction to the US Franchisor team
  • Sourcing speakers and running workshops for the annual conference
  • Ensuring the company is run well and profitably
  • Overseeing the marketing plan
  • Ensure Compliance with appropriate Trade Practices Legislation
  • Comply with industry rules, regulations and the laws that apply to the industry and franchising
  • Supervise all staff that report to you to ensure daily, weekly and monthly procedures are completed
  • Strong communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Review Franchise Agreements
  • Legal experience with contracts will be highly regarded
  • Reporting to the Directors at quarterly Board Meetings
  • Attending to client complaints that may arise from time-to-time and reach corporate office and work with the Franchisee to resolve

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

  1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  2. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the area of strategic planning.
  3. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role managing people or vendor partners.
  4. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the area of franchising.
  5. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience executing business development sales strategies

Preferred but not required:

  • MBA is a plus
  • Direct construction experience is a plus
  • Experience with construction related service companies is a plus
  • Experience negotiating

Details:

  • This is a full -time position as our client’s employee
  • Traditional office-based schedule with a small travel commitment

  • Base compensation is dependent on years of experience; package includes benefits
