Videographer III

Brookwoods Group is conducting a search for a Videographer for the world’s largest independent E&P company based out of client located in West Houston near the Energy Corridor. The Videographer will be part of a fast-paced team. The right candidate will be reporting to the Creative Manager, the Videographer works as part of the Marketing and Communications team to record, create, and edit video content for digital campaigns including email marketing, website, and social media as well as reporting and other organizational efforts.  You should be able to demonstrate your experience from end to end video production for large corporations.


  • Produces a variety of products as needed
  • Operates video cameras, switching, character generation, and digital video effects equipment
  • Edit video and audio into useable segments for a variety of channels
  • Sets up and adjusts studio lighting equipment including fixed and portable tungsten lights
  • Adjusts audio equipment including assorted lavalier cardiod and shogun microphones
  • Works with clients to prepare “B-roll” footage for inclusion in live productions
  • Provides limited troubleshooting of video, audio and lighting equipment. Perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Makes recommendations for software and equipment purchases
  • Plans and performs video post-production tasks which includes reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing
  • Utilizes computer graphics and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts
  • Compresses video projects for output
  • Captures recorded video using software and encode media as appropriate
  • Makes video products available in a variety of formats including DVDs or streaming media files


  • 5 + years of experience
  • Self-starter/independent, able to take a vision and make it a reality
  • Excellent skills in writing, developing presentations, and communication
  • Project management
  • Requires a strong understanding of discipline
  • Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations
  • Makes decisions within broad parameters
  • Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience


  • Storytelling 5+ years
  • Adobe Creative Suite 5+ years


  • This is a full-time position as our employee working under contract at our client’s location
  • Compensation includes salary and benefits and is dependent on your experience
