General Manager - Manufacturing San Antonio

Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing wholesale and distribution company, is seeking a General Manager to take the reins of their daily business operations. Specializing in providing high-quality circular saw blades and related parts to major hardware retailers, our client has established itself with expert ownership, exceptional products, and a talented team. Now, they need a strategic and detail-oriented leader to guide them to the next level of growth.  Must be willing to work in any capacity at any time when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Oversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring all departments are aligned and operating efficiently.
  • Sales & Marketing: Drive sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and oversee marketing efforts to expand the client base and increase market share.
  • Operations & Logistics: Manage inventory, optimize logistics processes, and ensure smooth and efficient supply chain management.
  • Finance & Budgeting: Work with the finance team to manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and optimize profitability.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive, collaborative company culture to drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Growth & Innovation: Identify new business opportunities, market trends, new products, and potential partnerships to fuel continued company growth.

Must Have Without Exceptions:

  • Proven minimum of 10 years of experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within wholesale or distribution.
  • Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a small business (LLC)
  • Strong background in all areas--sales, marketing, inventory/logistics, finance, and operations management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on employee supervision, team development and relationship-building.
  • Ability to think strategically, problem-solve and execute with precision.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for driving growth and achieving goals.
  • Experience in the hardware or manufacturing industry is a plus.
