Brookwoods Group is working with an Oil Field Chemical Technology and Solutions Company to identify a Supply Chain Manager.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of chemicals required for company operations. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring the quality of purchased chemicals, and coordinating with various departments to meet production demands and compliance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and evaluate suppliers of chemicals to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous deals.
- Place and manage purchase orders for chemicals and related supplies.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Implement and manage inventory tracking systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and manage supplier performance.
MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Must have 7 + years of experience in chemical procurement and inventory management.
- Must have SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and TDS (Technical Data Sheets) experience.
- Must have 5+ years of domestic procurement experience.
- Must have experience with chemical procurement supporting oil field operations.
- Must have excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have QHSE compliance experience.
Preferred but not required
- Experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to chemical handling and storage.
- International procurement experience
