Communications Specialist

Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Oil and Gas Company to identify a Communications Specialist IV. 

The Communications Specialist IV will provide tactical communications support to the Low Carbon Technologies (LCT) Senior Advisor and implement internal and external communications strategies and tactics in support of the organization’s business objectives. The role requires significant levels of self-management, content development and interaction with all levels of the organization.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS:

1. Must have a bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, journalism, or other relevant field or foreign equivalent
2. Must have 5+ years of communications experience in a PR agency, or consultancy, state/federal government, or adjacent energy sector experience
3. Must have knowledge and passion for low carbon technologies and new energies
4. Must have experience managing and resolving complex new energies public affairs issues
5. Must have understanding of organizational change management practices and considerations
6. Must be prepared to demonstrate your strong communication experience - samples required
7. Must possess superior research, writing and editing skills
8. Must be a proactive team player, able to work independently, and manage your time and priorities, meeting tight deadlines
