Financial Reporting Supervisor

Brookwoods Group is working with an Unconventional U.S. Oil Producer to place a Financial Reporting Supervisor.

 The Financial Reporting Supervisor will be responsible for running the day-to-day activities of the financial reporting department. This position is responsible for internal and external reporting and will supervise two staff members. This individual is expected to have strong technical accounting skills, the ability to present and communicate with the executive team and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. In addition, this individual is expected to build relationships with the accounting team as well as cross-functionally with other departments and be a “go-to” person for questions and guidance on accounting matters. This position will report to the Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting Manager.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

1. Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting
2. Must have your CPA Certification
3. Must have 5 years of corporate accounting, financial reporting experience
4. Must have a minimum of 2 years managing a team or leading a team
5. Must understand and have worked with financial reporting, SEC filings, and the external audit process
6. Must have Big 4 accounting experience or oil and gas industry experience
7. Must be an expert Microsoft Excel user

Preferred but not required:

• Upstream oil and gas accounting experience
• Workiva
• Experience with Planful or similar applications such as OneStream or Hyperion
• Experience with XBRL
