Data Analytics Manager

Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Energy Company to identify a Data Analytics Manager. 

The Data Analytics Manager is accountable for leading a team of data scientists and engineers in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to support client’s strategic objectives. The team provides support to the broader organization with a focus on partnering with various business operations to help them implement data analytics, machine learning and automation. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, the ability to connect and align with individuals and teams across the entire organization, and an understanding of the energy sector.  This position is located in downtown Houston, TX and reports to the VP of Data Analytics, Innovation, PMO and Supply Chain. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

1. Must have a master's or bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, engineering or related field
2. Must have minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering or data science
3. Must have have established leadership experienced with preferably three plus (3+) years directly managing teams and projects
4. Must demonstrate strong technical skills in data analytics, machine learning, big data technologies and/or experience leading teams in this area
5. Must be proficient in Python, R, Julia or other data science languages and/or experience leading teams in this area
6. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization
7. Must be prepared to demonstrate your success collaborating with a variety of stakeholders on business-critical projects
