Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Energy Company to identify a Data Engineer.
The Data Engineer role is a technical individual contributor role, focused on supporting data infrastructure to enable data analytics and machine learning. This role involves designing and building data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and facilitating data accessibility for data scientists and other business operations stakeholders. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data engineer to contribute to the advancement of Client’s data science transformation, leveraging expertise in data analytics to drive innovation and optimize operational outcomes.
MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:
Must have a master's or bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or related field
Must have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering
Must be proficient in SQL, Python and other data engineering tools
Must be prepared to demonstrate you experience with big data architectures (e.g. Spark, Azure, Snowflake)
Must have success communicating and collaborating cross functionally
Must have proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization
Preferred but not required:
Exposure to the energy industry
Previous Oil and Gas operator experience
Familiarity with additional programming languages (Hadoop, Julia, R, C++, etc.)
Exposure to petroleum engineering, machine learning and data science concepts

Compensation includes salary and benefits and is dependent on your experience
The role is based in Houston, TX, Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays
