Data Scientist Advisor

Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Energy Company to identify a Data Scientist Advisor. 

Data Scientist Advisor role is a technical individual contributor role, focused on supporting business opportunities through the use of exploratory data analytics, machine learning models and generative AI opportunities.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

1. Must have a bachelor's degree in data science, computer science or related field
2. Must have 7+ years' of relevant experience
3. Must have proven experience in data analytics and management of large datasets
4. Must have proficient in Python and data mining tools
5. Must have strong collaborative skills, working well with teams and stakeholders
6. Must demonstrate your ability to work in a team-oriented environment
7. Must have excellent presentation skills
8. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of the organization

Preferred but not required:

• Master degree or PHD or certification in Data Science or Data Analytics
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with additional programming languages (SQL, R, C++, etc.)
• Previous Oil and Gas experience
• Exposure to Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience workflows
• Exposure to the energy sector, particularly unconventional exploration programs

• Compensation includes salary and benefits and is dependent on your experience
• The role is based in Houston, TX.  Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Monday and Fridays
