Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Energy Company to identify a Data Scientist.
Data Scientist role is a technical individual contributor role, focused on supporting business opportunities through the use of exploratory data analytics, machine learning models and generative AI opportunities.
MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:
Must have a bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or related field
Must have 2 - 7 years of relevant experience
Must have experience in the oil and gas industry
Must have experience and or education in data analytics and management of large datasets
Must be proficient in Python and data mining tools
Must be prepared to demonstrate your ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Must have excellent presentation skills
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal, presentation, and written)
Preferred but not required:
Master's degree or PHD or certification in Data Science or Data Analytics
Familiarity with additional programming languages 9SQL, R, C++, etc)
Previous oil and gas operator experience
Exposure to Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience workflows
Exposure to the energy sector, particularly unconventional exploration programs

Compensation includes salary and benefits and is dependent on your experience
The role is based in Houston, TX, hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays
