Environmental Specialist

Brookwoods Group is working with a Houston-based Oil and Gas Company to identify an Environmental Specialist IV. 

The Environmental Specialist IV will be supporting air permitting and compliance for Upstream Oil and Gas Production facilities. If you have experience working with large manufacturing facilities, either Oil and Gas or petrochemical companies and have a strong understanding of EPA and State of Texas air regulations, this is a great opportunity.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

  1. Must have a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or similar degree
  2. Must have 5+ years work experience in Air and GHG environmental compliance/permitting or regulatory compliance in and oil and gas and/or petrochemical industry
  3. Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  4. Must be familiar with emission calculations or oil and gas production facilities
  5. Must be able to prove your ability to gather and analyze datasets, for the purpose of emissions monitoring and emission calculations

Preferred but not required:

  • Texas Air Permitting experience preferred.
  • Understanding of EPA and State of TX air regulations, guidelines and policies, additional state air regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills needed to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive on projects and demonstrate initiative.

  • This is a full-time position as our employee working under contract at our client’s location
  • The role is based in Houston, TX in the Energy Corridor.
  • Drug screening will be required prior to reporting for duty and potentially RDT during employment.
