Brookwoods Group is working with a Public Relations Agency to place an up-and-coming Communications/Media Relations professional.

THIS IS A PURE PUBLIC RELATIONS/MEDIA RELATIONS POSITION SUPPORTING THE C-SUITE EMBEDDED AT THE DOWNTOWN HOUSTON AGENCY CLIENT LOCATION ON A HYBRID SCHEDULE.

The position is responsible for the agency client and will generate media opportunities for the client CEO and continue raising client profile. This professional will also follow current trends and make suggestions for speaking opportunities, white papers, media relations pitches, and other relevant communication strategies to propel the company and its leaders in the industry publications and the press. Coming out of journalism and/or a start-up client focused agency is a huge benefit.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to disrupt the industry and establish a path forward with how the client communicates with customers, shareholders, and the masses.

MUST HAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

  1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  2. Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in public relations
  3. Must have energy media connections
  4. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment, flexible with the demands of a growing company
  6. Must have strong follow-up and follow through with the ability to manage your workload independently
